One thing I had to try when I visited the East Coast was a burger from the much-talked about Shake Shack. Although there are many locations in New York, I wasn't able to try it until I reached DC. There was a newly opened Shake Shack in Dupont Circle, and it was walking distance from the hotel we stayed at. It was the perfect timing. (Seeing it in Naomi's blog, also made me want it even more).
I love, love, love burgers... one-of-a-kind burger joints, chain restaurants, or fast foods... they are all great. The burgers from Shake Shack are really good (In-n-out is still #1 though). They have a unique, special sauce in their burgers that made their burgers different from the rest. The root beer float we ordered came with delicious custard, however, the fries were mediocre.

Shake Shack turned out to be better than I thought. My brother and I were craving it for days after. We would look at each and say "I want Shake Shack" and the other would reply, "Me too!" It's really funny and we still say it to each other to this day. Until the next time I visit the East Coast, I'll be thankful with the numerous locations of In-n-out Burger surrounding me!
Ps. I found this article about their burgers very interesting to read.

ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, just the pickles on that burger make me want one! haha. and a root beer float sounds so good. is is bad to crave a place i've never been to??
ReplyDeleteJust love their veggie burgers. That's it. Veggies. NYC has too many Shake Shacks now. It's taking away from the excitement. It was exciting when there was just one in the entire city and the line was always long as can be. Things like that excite me. :)
