dinner at bottega louie

Since my last trip at Bottega Louie, I haven't been back. However, last week we were able to take two friends who have never experienced Bottega before.

Going later in the week for dinner might've been a bad decision, but the 1 hour wait gave us time to search the baked goods section. We literally took about 30 minutes to decide which macarons we wanted. I'd say we were a bit mesmerized by the selection and the color.

In addition to the macarons we picked up, we all bought a couple of their beignets. I've been wanting to try beignets at Nola's and Cafe du Monde (for if I ever visited New Orleans). I saved a few for the next morning, popped them in the microwave for about 15 seconds and they turned out to be soft, sugary, and still delicious.

  1. Oh, I love Bottega Louie! I actually went for the first time somewhat recently (with all the hype it's been getting), and I have to say that it lives up to all that hype. The macarons are delicious too!

I haven't tried the beignets there (though I have tried them at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans), so now I have to try them to see how they compare :)
