Some of the most delicious things devoured on this trip were eaten on this day. For example, the hole in the wall, Baohaus, had a unique twist on the ordinary duck baos I often eat at Chinese restaurants. I had the Birdhaus bao which is fried chicken, cilantro, and crushed peanuts; the flavors meshed with the warm, fluffy bread was perfection. They also have the "Uncle Jesse" bao and the "Jeremy Lin" bao. If the "Jeremy Lin" bao wasn't sold out, the name itself would have been enticing enough for me to order two.

Caramel Rice Pudding at Rice to Riches

The night ended off with some chicken and rice and a stop at a cool mixology bar called Mulberry Project. There was a list of fruits, herbs, and some odd ones like bell pepper and thai chili that we could request from and the bartender would make something right there for ya. I absolutely love a fresh watermelon juice so I asked the bartender for anything with watermelon. My drink was a paired with some mint leaves and super refreshing. My friends also got drinks that were much more adventurous than mines. One had cayenne in the mix and it was unexpectedly delicious and had the perfect kick.
Stay tuned for Day 3 next week!

That night we saw the Broadway play, Jesus Christ Superstar, and it was pretty spectacular. With a rock and roll theme, they did a great job delivering the story. The music, set, lighting, and costumes were all incredibly fascinating. We purchased our tickets from TKTS and were able to score some seats in the second row! Afterwards, we waited for the cast who signed our Playbill. The night ended off with some chicken and rice and a stop at a cool mixology bar called Mulberry Project.
